By Gianna Mulvey
Every coin has two sides
Two paths ever out of reach
The future, a mystery even to me
I was lost for too much of my life
Floating silently on the waves
And drowning in endless possibilities
I’ve no idea what it means to be hurt
And cannot speak for the what-ifs
Yet, somehow, I do not fear the shroud
When the sun sets and all hope is gone
I cannot take the pain any longer
And yearn for the embrace of certainty
The chaining of my heart and burying of love
Finally, I am content and happy, suffocating in silence
