Well, folks, it’s time for the second riveting season of the WARP Grand Prix! After successfully defeating the evil Koopa King, Bowser, this season will feature many all-new tracks, as well as plenty of new teams vying to be the best of the best. Last year, the points battles were fierce throughout the field, with a title fight that came down to the wire, and everyone had a shot to take home the hardware.
This year’s roster seems to be even more competitive, with what some analysts have dubbed the “BOLD Media Superteam” taking the stage as some of the projected stronger competitors. Despite not operating out of the same garage, this team consists of WNEK Radio, GBTV, The Westerner, and the Cupola Yearbook.
Their fiercest opponents appear to come in the form of the returning Campus Activities Board team and the Student Senate car. However, new racing teams like Improv on the Rocks and United & Mutually Equal seek to make a splash with their massive presence both on and off the track.
But arguably the most overlooked by racing experts are the freshest faces on the grid, being the rookie teams of Ski & Snowboard and the Gender-Sexuality Alliance. Both of these teams started their rapid buildups last year, and they seek to make a splash with an underdog win.
Due to each of the teams using the same type of machinery, any of these ten teams will have an equal chance to win the championship. Best of all, you all get to take part! Come down to the Campus Center on February 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. to speed through the sandy hills of Kalimari Desert, the frigid ski slopes of DK Summit, the fiery and imposing Bowser’s Castle, and the enchanting and treacherous Rainbow Road!
