Travis Scott’s Astroworld fest has been the hot topic this week, with nine people killed in a stampede that has been described as “total chaos.” Victims ranged in age from 14 to 27. People are very skeptical about how this happened, as the concert never stopped while people were being suffocated. Videos are going viral on platforms like TikTok of fans screaming and yelling at performers and staff to stop the show.

“The cause of the surge was not immediately clear and will be part of the investigation,” says Houston fire chief, Sam Pena. Looking at the situation, who is to blame? Is there anyone that can be blamed? People have looked to blame Travis Scott himself, while others are saying that it is the fault of the entire event team. Hopefully, the investigation into this event will give us some answers.

Taylor Swift released her album “Red (Taylor’s Version),” making this the second album she has re-recorded since its original release about 10 years ago. She signed her original record deal at 15 years old with Big Machine Records.

She switched labels in 2018, moving to Republic Records, only to find out that her music was sold to manager Scooter Braun. This turned into a battle between the big name record labels and Swift, both wanting the rights to the master records of her songs.

To get revenge against the industry, Taylor decided to start re-recording all of her old studio albums. The November 12 release of “Red (Taylor’s Version)” has been a great success already, putting “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version)” at number 8 and “Red (Taylor’s Version) at number 11 on Apple Music in less than 24 hours after the release. Expect to see another re-recorded album from Swift over the next year.

Current top 10 on Apple Music as of November 12:

  1. “Smokin Out The Window” Bruno Mars, Anderson .Peak & Silk Sonic
  2. “No Love” Summer Walker & SZA
