Asteria’s Musical Influence

2 mins read

By Kylie Jennings

Asteria is a musical artist who specializes in alternative hip-hop and electric dance music (EDM). He started making music back when he was 10 years old and his first official release was “paranoid”, released in 2021 which wrote and produced when he was just 13 years old. He has released a total of 44 songs, with his most recent – “EYES ON ME” – released on March 5.

Asteria has had a musical membership (past and present) in two different groups. Firstly, in 2021, Asteria was part of a group known as GORESET. GORESET’s style of music was simply labeled alternative and indie and this group included various other artists. It is unclear when Asteria officially joined and left this group. A while later, in July of 2023, Asteria joined the well-known music group FabFantasy. The group consists of 14 members, including 6arelyhuman, kets4eki, d3r, and Proz.

Interestingly enough, Asteria has a unique history with the member kets4eki especially. Asteria first discovered kets4eki from his song “Every Single Day” and Asteria and kets4eki started to work together shortly after. The first song they released together called “MOLLY” on January 25, 2023. A few months later, Asteria made another song with kets4eki in March 2023. After that, their bond grew exponentially. Asteria and kets4eki now have 1 whole album, RAVE2DEATH, and a total of 17 songs together.

In the past few months, Asteria has blown up in popularity. His most popular song is “WHAT YOU WANT” with 18.5 million listens on Spotify. This song grew to be so popular with the help of social media. This song features the well-known virtual singer, Hatsune Miku. Miku’s appearance in the scene culture is nothing new but never has she been in a song like this before. This song took the risk of trying something new and was well-received. His second-best song is BFM which includes Asteria, Britney Manson, and kets4eki. This song has 3 million listens on Spotify. At the time this song was released, Asteria already built himself a name. Britney Manson is not only a singer but also a well-known fashion model and runway walker so having her name in a song is enough to bring large amounts of attention to it. Kets4eki has 3.4 million monthly listeners. Building on his popularity, Asteria has already released 4 new songs this year alone. As “EYES ON ME” was released not too long ago, there seems to be great success coming its way. This song is a good listen and even takes the risk of stepping out of the norms of scene music. Instead of Asteria trying to pitch up his voice to sound higher and lighter, he instead uses his natural voice, which is much deeper in comparison. Asteria is an artist worth the attention and I cannot wait to see the expansion of his music and talents. Keep an eye out ‘cuz you’ll never know when he’ll have a new release and you sure won’t want to miss it.
