Over a year after local rock-and-roll artists The 413s released their song ‘Summer Days’, they released a new song called ‘Wild Eyes’. Ironically, the song was released exactly 413 days after their last release. It’s a more heavy rock-and-roll song in comparison to songs in their catalog such as ‘Tomorrow’ and the aforementioned ‘Summer Days’, and is faster-paced along the lines of their other songs ‘Catfish Woman’ and fan-favorite ‘Overtime Girl’. However, this wasn’t even the last of their recent releases, as within a day of ‘Wild Eyes’ debuting on streaming services, they announced their next song, ‘Hurricane’, would be released the following Friday. This song has an interesting backstory, as a live version was posted to their YouTube over a year ago, with no streaming release scheduled at the time. Now, people can listen to the studio recording of the band’s nearly five-minute-long piece, which harkens back to popular love ballads of the 1960s. Overall, the two songs contrast each other in numerous ways, but that’s what makes their back-to-back releases feel even better. When it comes to The 413s, always expect something good, because this local band doesn’t miss a beat.
