With winter coming to an end, the beautiful trees and flowers around campus are starting to bloom. Western New England University is known for having a campus filled with a variety of colorful landscaping and botany.
One of the first things that visitors see when visiting the campus is the welcoming sign located by the main entrance. In front of these signs can be found an assortment of tulips ranging from yellow, orange, pink, and red. These tulips bloom around early-to-mid April and last for about a month.
WNE is also known for its abundance of maple trees placed around campus. These trees have their spotlight moment in the fall when they become a bright orange and scatter their leaves across the campus. The school’s most famous maple can be found between the dining hall and Deliso Hall.
This giant maple catches the eye of everyone because it is in the perfect spot to be seen through the many windows of the dining hall. A large bed of flowers can be found in front of the D’Amour Library, filled with many different colors of petunias. These flowers are known for their sustainability throughout the summer.
Though many other flowers planted around campus come and go quickly, these petunias bloom in the spring and survive well into the next school year. WNE’s campus is filled with a large assortment of trees and flowers that are a staple, especially in the spring and autumn months.
All around campus, especially near Deliso Hall and D’Amour library, are cherry trees. These trees are known for blooming very early in the spring and staying in their blossom state for only a few weeks. In fact, these trees are one of the earliest to flower in the spring.
WNE is known all around for its beautiful campus. Its colorful assortment of flowers and trees show how much effort is put into making our campus known for its beauty.
